I didn't realize that it's been so long since I last updated... I hope everyone is doing well! I can't believe it's been so long since I started up this mailing list. My sister was just reflecting upon how our family has been going through this challenge for several years now, and how well my mom is doing despite it all. Some have commented that she seems to be more happy and joyful than even before she was diagnosed, and I have definitely noticed that even among our family, she is the most steadfast and joyful of us all.
Her last CT scan results have shown the the cancer has not extended to any other organs in her body, but still remains in her lungs. This newest chemotherapy treatment seems to be effectively in controlling the growth of the cancer within her lungs however, and there is not much worsening of the tumours, but in fact, the smallest improvement.
To tell you the truth, when we look at these reports with the big words and terms, it's hard to know whether things are distinctly improving or not, but we know that in all things God is working and has a purpose. Please continue praying for my mom, for healing and strength, physically, emotionally and spiritually, and also for the family and community around her to be supportive and loving.
The other good news is this... I'm engaged! :D Clayton and I are engaged and we will be getting married in July 2005! I'm ecstatic and so happy, and I'm also so excited that me and my family, have this happy event to celebrate the blessings that surround us, because they are indeed all around!
Thank you for joining us in prayer... I am reminded of the passage of the body of Christ in 1 Corinthians... "one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. "
Thank you for suffering and rejoicing with us... we feel the community around us!
